An informal outdoor arbour wedding full of colour

Lauren and James married at Hendra Barns in their beautiful outdoor arbour.

As soon as they saw the arbour by the lake they knew that was the place they wanted to get married. They chose to hire Hendra Barns for three days and had twenty guests staying with them in the house and the adjoining cottages.

On the day Lauren wore a stunning French Connection dress, she wanted to feel special, whilst also informal and the dress she chose was just perfect.

The groom James also wanting to feel relaxed wore a collarless shirt, chinos and upon request, we created a succulent buttonhole complete with bell.

Lauren carried a beautiful bouquet that she helped create the day before the wedding. I was delighted to have been asked to be Laurens chosen florist and apparently I had created Lauren's vision to absolute perfection!

Their theme was Boho which Lauren mixed with her love of arts and crafts and all things handmade. The flowers were such an important part of Laurens day so there were lots of flowers, flowers full of colour and fairy lights, hand-painted jam jars, macrame wedding curtains, plant-hangers, dreamcatchers, hand-written signage and invitations!

In Lauren’s own words…

“What can I say... Lizi is my best friend and I've worked with her as a florist over many many years. It was so special to have her there to help me create what I wanted.”
